An increase of 88% means the former number (100% of last months) + 88% of that number.

An increase of 188% would be the previous month +188%.

You'd be right if they had said sales were 88% of the previous month which would be incorrect. Sales were 188% of the previous month.

You can buy it on Xbox Originals but even then it's just Halo 2 running off the hard drive. It is very much an Xbox game and will be losing it's live functionality tonight.
