GH II updated, no more whammy problems

Apr 16th 2007 1:29PM (Joystiq Xbox)
I didn't have any problems and debated on even patching my game after reading all the issues people have had. But I bit the bullet and ran the patch no problems. I've got a launch day 360 and guitar 95065. I played the game about an hour and a half since I patched it and from what I've read thats more than enough time to have induced a crash.

Red Octane says two Xbox guitar models 'defective'

Apr 7th 2007 11:47PM (Joystiq)
I got a 95055 box with a 95065 guitar in it. Star power isn't very responsive I have to almost point the top of the guitar straight up to get an activation unlike the PS2 version which just requires a slight kick to the right. After playing like that for awhile I've gotten used to it. Whammy bar is 100% A.OK! Great game.

Kid makes PSP play Wii games

Alien, it isn't a port. He is using LocationFree with his PSP. The more interesting part is his portable sensor bar, pretty sweet really. BTW for those who don't know LocationFree pretty much just streams whatever video/audio you connect into it to the PSP wirelessly.

Video: Sacred 2 trailer and first look

Well I'm certainly excited about this game, especially the four player online Co-Op and two player split screen Co-Op. Can't wait to get some more information on it.

Wii Warm Up: Wii as exercise machine

Mar 8th 2007 12:13PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
One of my reasons for buying the Wii was to become a more active gamer. I liked the idea of getting off the couch and into the game. Since I got it about a week ago I've already noticed a change in my energy level. I spend about 45-60 minutes every morning before work playing Wii Sports (mainly the Fitness and a few rounds of Wii Boxing training as I feel this is one of the more active games in the Wii Sports package). Can't wait until we get a Fitness based game. So $30/mo for the Gym or $249 for a Wii. I got a Wii.

X06: Gears of War gameplay is bloody good

GOW will be a beautiful game but from that trailer the AI looks about as dumb as a brick. Come on. Your hiding behind a 3'x3' block and they don't try and come around you? Just seems like it may be too easy. I'm sure to find out as I've had the game on reserve for months and can't wait to try it.
