Jan 21st 2012 1:32PM (Joystiq)It's also possible that it's a naming convention for DLC so they don't have to keep coming up with subtitles like "Fury" every time they want to put out a game expansion. This way they'd be able to release new "seasons" as DLC expansions.
Snap into a Skyrim with the 'Macho Men' mod
Jan 7th 2012 2:41PM (Joystiq)Agreed. I'm also curious as to why they opted for Disco Inferno by The Trammps as opposed to Macho Man by The Village People, or even Savage's entrance theme Pomp And Circumstance.
Great idea but I'm going on record saying it wasn't thought out as well as it could have been.

Sep 9th 2011 4:26PM (Joystiq)The tab-style category navigation still looks the same, but actually browsing within a category looks nothing like XMB (and is certainly a lot less restrictive than XMB's tree-style navigation).
Sony's Rob Dyer criticizes Microsoft's content policies
Sep 3rd 2011 8:10PM (Joystiq)Neither console is really superior to the other (both have their advantages and disadvantages, it comes down to preference). As far as the consoles themselves are concerned, go with what your heart desires.
Unfortunately, for those of us who actually own an Xbox 360 (myself included) Microsoft's policies make it really difficult for us to enjoy our gaming experience. And, apparently it's making it really difficult for PS3 owners to enjoy it as well.
Policies like these put a bottleneck on the entire industry, as no developer is going to risk not having their game on the higher selling of the two consoles. It's really unfair for both publishers and players.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Xbox, but Microsoft is the single most anal company in the business when it comes to policies and restrictions, and it honestly feels to me like this sort of thing should be considered unfair competition in a legal sense.
In brief I would love so much to see developers stop following this policy altogether and see this whole thing to backfire on Microsoft. You can't sell a console if you aren't offering the big titles.
