Halo: Reach 'Defiant Map Pack' offers three new maps in March
Feb 14th 2011 5:32PM (Joystiq)Whether it's worth it or not depends on how much you play Reach and how much you play the new maps. If you're a casual player who plays occasionally, then no, $10 for 3 new maps are not worth it. But if you play everyday, or have a group of friends that play every day, then yes, definitely worth it because you'll get a lot of mileage out of them.
I don't like that the standard has been set as $10 for 3 maps, but in certain situations with certain games, I'm ok with it paying that rate since it refreshes my multiplayer experience.

Feb 14th 2011 5:28PM (Joystiq)Armor lock is pretty easy to counter. Just keep your distance and throw a grenade as it's about to unlock. Don't get in close to melee because when he unlocks it hurts your shields, and he'll melee back and kill you. Also, if you get killed by his buddy- that's simply called teamwork.
And keep in mind that when someone armor locks to block your melee then unlocks and hits you- that is very difficult to time. There's nothing wrong with Armor Lock, it's a very good ability that has its strengths and weaknesses. Are people going to start complaining about the Jet Pack being cheap? or the Decoy ability? And if it bothers you that much, there are plenty of gametypes in Reach that let you play without any abilities.
