Game Crazy owner facing massive financial problems

Aug 17th 2007 12:00PM (Joystiq)
Woot! My tip was posted! 8*)

Seriously tho', I did at one time like Game Crazy. It was lower pressure sales than EB/GS was. Now it's just a clone, non-stop pushing for preorders and MVPs.

Spend your store credit soon, no telling how long it's going to last.

Nibris announces another new project

Aug 14th 2007 12:12AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
This is rough to say because I really want these game to come out, as they sound interesting and they're supporting Nintendo full throttle... but it seems like we have a Phantom situation on our hands. Lots of hype and little substance.

Raid Over The River recently had a YouTube video showing the progress in the game, but this isn't amateur night. We need to see some professional direct feed video footage to make this seem a little more believable.

I wish Nibris the best, as I said their work definitely sounds interesting and Wii needs some mature work like Sadness, but we need to see some progress being made here.

Japan gets Friday VC bonus

Aug 10th 2007 3:00PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Yah, seriously. It's not like SMB2jp has some huge translation issues... Nintendo's already shown via Wave Race 64 and some other games they're willing to dive into the code to change stuff, so how about it Nintendo? How about some SMB2jp love for us Amerikajins?

Top 10 GBA game list is highly selective

Aug 8th 2007 12:34AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
That list is absolutely horrible. Minish Cap is by far the worst Zelda game ever produced (and I'm including the CDi releases in that statement), and Golden Sun is panned by most hardcore RPGamers. Not to mention Aria of Sorrow is one of the best games for any system, not just GBA, so it should most certainly be included on the list. Poor list, IMO.

DS Daily: Japanese for gamers

Aug 5th 2007 6:57PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I've been studying the Japanese language for a few weeks now, picking it up rather quickly. I suggest the Japancast.net podcast at www.japancast.net It's a blog and podcast. I've also picked up a CD set of Pimsleur's Basic Japanese 1 off Amazon and the book An Innovative Approach to Speaking and Reading Japanese - Japanese Step by Step.

There's also a great old video series called "Lets Learn Japanese". It's from the '70s or '80s, but language is relatively finite so the lessons are still applicable. Demonoid has a torrent for it, search for Lets Learn Japanese, the torrent also includes the workbooks in PDF format.

Ya' know, I hate the Pokeymans, but I can't resist free Wii goodness, so here's my message comment/entry.

Get Out and download this game!

Seems like a rip-off of Konami's arcade classic "Mikie."

Shame that Mikie never made it onto any of Konami's compilations, it's actually a fun game.

Unreleased Game Boy Color RPG resurfaces

Jul 10th 2007 11:49PM (Joystiq)
That game looks ASTOUNDINGLY good for a GBC game, and if the in game music sounds anything like the music in the video I'll be blown away. That has to be an immense rom size for a GBC game. Here's hoping we get a rom release, here's hoping even more for a cart release!
