Just saying just because its offered as an arts course doesn't necessarily make it art. My sub-major was history, which isn't necessarily art but came under the blanket definition of my BA.
Sure it could be conceived as art, or an art form, but just about anything could be really. Ebert is a jerk, no argument there.
Modern Warfare 2 has customizable armour? Did I miss this? I mean I know snipers get ghillie suits, riot shields seem to be waering extra face armour and guys carrying shotguns tend have shells strapped to them.... Is that what joystiq is talking about?
Also, I wasn't before but I'm starting to get a boner for Halo Reach.
NOOOOOOOOO! I hate playing FPS on pc. Maybe Ive been playing consoles for too long but mouse and keyboard controls feel so disconnected and unnatural. more accurate, sure, but like i said less natural and more suck. As a result i only FPS on consoles.
If peeps start picking these up and they are actually good they will actually have an advantage in console FPS. Im already not particularly good. I can hold my own but I will get raped by peeps with these. As will many others. maybe.
ok so the verdict is... a UI thats is functional but tradtional is preferable to a fancy one that is useless? did he really need four pages to reach that opinion? I mean I disagree with some of the particulars, but still. Btw Dead Space's holographs were awesome, if only because you had to view them in real time wioth the game world without changing your perspective. More than once I was shuffling inventory when a necromorph got me from behind. Scared the bejesus out of me. You had to constantly look over your shoulder and it really added to the game. I remember once watching a friend play and even as he was looking at the item store we saw a necromorph arm wave in front of the item list. When he exited there was one standing RIGHT FREAKING BEHIND HIM looking over his shoulder. brilliant.
