Wow...those comments saying that the guy's game playing wouldn't be so excessive "if she wasn't so fat" are horrible! The woman isn't obese or anything! She's heavy, yes, but nothing extreme, or even close. The woman just had his child! There's no GREATER reason for a man to become even more in love with his partner. I don't know how she could've stood by a jerk for so long! His addiction should've been confronted a lot earlier. Oh, another thing...maybe if daddy weren't sitting on his butt in front of the computer...MAYBE mom could get more of a chance to work off her pregnancy weight! *just a thought*
That's a sad, sad man if he's turned to a game out of *fear* of his daughter. That's outrageous! And I agree that things won't be done simply by shredding the game. I'm sure there was going to be a follow-up program to get him weaned off of the games. If there aren't, then they're going about it all wrong. While shredding the game is a symbolic way to mark the beginning of the end of his addiction, that won't be enough. He'll need counseling. Kudos to him...it's a step in the right direction.
I'm sure one of those people from those marketing companies has a cousin, nephew or SOMEONE who's in the "tween" to college student age group that they could've used for a more authentic internet vernacular...I mean...OMG!! Duh??
My mom loves Wii Sports. She's a huge fan of boxing and tennis. And when we were making our Miis...that was pretty amusing, setting star eyes, unibrows and mustached women...haha...good times! Nintendo just may save the American family structure. JK... =oP
To all having the disc read issue with Wii Sports...I *WAS* having that issue too...I set up the Wii right after we got it at midnight, and it was a no go. Zelda was fine though...BUT THEN (don't ask how...I haven't a clue) we tried it this afternoon, and the damn thing's working. NO CLUE. I guess it's a fluke glitch?? Fishy...but the system's been great aside from that weird occurance.
The fact that anyone would ever pay over a grand is ridiculous. You can add a little more to that and get a nice PC or MAC. People paying over $3000?? Get a high def TV or something...goodness...or go on a nice vacation.
Jesus, that's highway robbery!! For the sake of people blowing their wad on those PS3s...I hope this first round of PS3s doesn't turn out like the PS2 I got at launch a few years back...the P.O.S. quit reading discs and as a result I had to buy a new one.
1. It's nostalgia that people still appreciate. So what? Be nice. No one's trying to make you appreciate the NES anyway.
3. If you want online browsing, that's what your computer's for, or are you not able to afford one?? Seriously, on screens as small as the PSP and DS, do you REALLY want to browse the internet on them? They're game consoles! And the fact that either system puts up GOOD game titles is the primary issue.
Anyway, nice job on the DS lite case, it's cute. Creative.
This was the first game I bought for my new DS (along with Super Princess Peach...is my sex that obvious yet? And yes, I did get a pink DS =oP...don't underestimate my gaming interest though...sorry, got off-topic)...and I actually enjoy the game a bit. It's rather amusing and catchy. It's a fun concept...longetivity is an issue though...I can only make hard-boiled eggs so many times before it gets old. My Cooking Mama prowess probably outweighs my real-time cooking skills though. *sigh*
