The online dev kits for the Wii were finalized and shipped in Febuary, IIRC.

Not liking the Wii is fine. It's called having the freedom of your own opinion.

I'll speak my own opinion here. I'm coming from about 40 PS2 games and 25 gamecube games, and so far, the PS3 and 360 are the disappointing consoles for me, they're not offering me the games I bought previously, and I'm not interested in the newer titles. The Wii, on the other hand, is, plus I can play it with other people who aren't dedicated gamers.

I'm very interested in Nintendo's first party titles, and there are some interesting 3rd party Wii titles coming up as well.

The only interesting PS3/360 titles for the year, for me, are Eternal Sonata and Armored Core 4. I'm not insulting any of the games you're looking forward to, I'm simply saying I wouldn't enjoy them.

Let's see, the Wii should be at just under 7 million by the 19th of the month, when North America's NPD data comes out. By that logic, between November and March, the wii has sold *almost* 1.4 million consoles per month worldwide. And it hasn't started slowing down overall in any region yet, with 1 confirmed 2.5 million in North America and 2 million in both Japan and Europe. Would anyone care to guess how long this will continue?

Btw, the 360 is finally going to be passing 10 million sold probably next moth.

And at this rate, the Wii has a 50/50 chance of passing the 360's worldwide install base in July. How does that sound?

I already put down a $5 preorder down on it when I went and picked up Tales of Legendia and Baten Kaitos Origins. Ain't no way I'm gonna miss a Paper Mario game. :)

I'm still waiting for KH2 to hit the bargain bin, but if this were true I'd pick it up on release day. :D

Zelda : Twilight Princess - fav tracks

1) Twilight Princess Orchester (Don't want you no More) - If you consider this song the "theme" for Twilight Princess, then IMHO it is the best game theme song I've heard since Halo.
2) Midna's Desperate Hour
3) Twilight Princess Orchester (Medley)
4) Hyrule Castle Tower

These tracks, IMHO, are absolutely fantastic, and add a lot to the experience of the game while you're playing it.

Personally, the most disappointing soundtrack last year to me was Final Fantasy XII. :(

An excellent post that many here would find quite suprising, it would seem. The Wii isn't as much a "Gamecube 1.5" as many are making it out to be. :)

A year ago before E3'06, I mean

Well, to their respects, I think nobody, including developers, didn't see the Wii becoming as successful as it has so quickly. Honestly, if you said that the Wii would be outselling the PS3 on a 3-to-1 difference, what response could most people give but laughter?
