It's a more open platform, so there are downsides: 1) more prone to piracy, although I've heard some Android devs say it's gotten much better recently 2) There are ALOT of devices to support. For Apple currently, the new crop of models are pretty much Iphone 4s, Ipod Touch 4, and Ipad 2. Add last gen's models... Iph4, Iph 3g, Iph3, IpT3, Ipad1, and it's STILL MUCH less than what Androids have on the market.
Cool, so now we can get hit by a train or bus while playing S/NES games! Sure, people were already doing that on PSPs, Iphones, and Androids, but now we get to do that in style.
On a more serious note, no support for Super Scope nor SNES Mouse I take it?[/sarcasm]
With a game with hidden info, it'd probably be too cumbersome to hide the info, then pass it to another player. Not everyone would be able to see the screen at once, which may slow things down.
The portability was what I was looking for. If I'm gonna play this at home, I'd rather just play it for free on BSW, with a plethora of expansion and variant options.
But then if it costs $10, it might as well be crap. After spending $$ of apps that help iphone users remember where they parked their cars or to decide where to eat which is no small chump change, there isn't much left for games
Fact of the matter is, they're Blizzard. They really probably could get away with murder. They could put out any piece of crap and people will buy it since it bears their name.
27K+ signatures on the petition sounds like a lot to me, but I'm still not sure it'll budge Blizzard to LAN up sc2.
