I hear you guys in terms of what you're saying. It's ultimately why I'm interested in this game regardless of the reviews. My only point was there has been so much hype and positive 'pre-reviewing' of this game by this site ahead of its release that it bothers me that such a big issue like the controls are painful... was totally ignored until the embargoes were lifted speaks volumes about the legitimacy of any pre-review.

So, I pre-ordered this game and will keep it, but to me... this is a fundamental flaw with most game review sites. Obviously, this reviewer had already played this before yesterday and had experienced this issue with the controls. However, because of embargoes and whatever other incentives Joystiq has with publishers and developers, nothing negative was ever said about the game. Nothing. Only hype and more hype. It probably wouldn't have stopped me from buying this game, but I may not have pre-ordered it and wouldve waited for a deal of some sort. To me... this causes Joystiq to lose credibility when such a big 'other shoe' was purposely left out of any discussion until the game already shipped to paying customers. That stinks. Just shows that these game sites are news about games... and mouthpieces for developers/publishers. As all media really is... more sad than mad.

love how there's been all this talk about how the game has driven all these new PS3 sales... which it has... but that PS3 is up 127% over last week and 360 is up 125%.

Yeah, actually, I think they are thinking of getting Rock Band in there. The room was set up before either GHIII or Rock Band came out, but is only officially 'opening' next weekend. Rates are pretty pricey, but its a pretty nice boutique style hotel in downtown Chicago and right next to House of Blues. My girlfriend works there so she was telling me about it. I'll go next week to the opening and let everyone know if the TVs really are that high. haha.

Pretty cool regardless that they would think of providing a room like this to their guests instead of just a gym and a pool that close at 11. :)
