Such a great game. It's been years since I was really impressed by anything developed in Japan but this was one of the best games I played on any system last year.

@Rengar The model you're describing is more like instead of a $30 expansion they make 5 DLC packs that cost $10 a piece. DLC that costs less than $10 is pretty rare and usually comes from studios like Valve who would charge nothing if Sony or MS would let them.

There isn't going to be any console in the next gen that is going to support 4K visuals. As you said, the current gen can't even really do 1080p.

It's going to probably be a good 10 years or more before 1080p is supplanted as a standard. I just don't see consumers buying into another high resolution format so quickly when lots of people can't even tell the difference between a DVD and Blu-ray or even when they can, just don't care.

Bought it last night, but for some reason my brother and I couldn't get through a single online match without getting disconnected. Once that gets worked out it should be more than worth the $5.

My biggest beef is that the letters are so huge on the screen I find it much harder to see words among the jumble.

Actually, the fact that I lost a quarrel because it wouldn't accept the word 'shag' despite it being in every Scrabble dictionary sucked too.

I don't know why publishers continue with the "Episode X" farce when all it does is guarantee it'll be more time until the next episode than it would've been for a proper sequel.

They definitely never lead anyone to believe there'd be 2-4 maps a month. They've said all along there would be 20 pieces of content and that would be comprised of new maps, spec ops levels and game modes. That's exactly what that calendar shows.

Based on how many new maps BO had, it was a pretty safe bet that only 10-12 of those 20 pieces of content were going to be multiplayer maps.

12 new maps is pretty solid. I'd prefer fewer good maps as opposed to a ton of half assed maps. But considering the archive of classic maps they have at this point, many of which most of us haven't played in years, plus the fact that they have 3 different studios working on content, there's no reason they can't supplement those 12 maps with another 6-8 classic maps. Pop in a couple here and there, totally unannounced. That would go a long way towards making people feel like they didn't pay more money for less content.

The cynic in me says that instead of 12 new maps plus several old ones, the most likely scenario is that 4 or 5 of the remaining 10 maps will be remakes.

@xFenixKnightx It's all a matter of preference. I thought Battlefield 3 looked fantastic but I found it unplayable because of all the slowdown. It was the first game that made me realize we are definitely overdue for new consoles.

At this point though MW3 is so consistently laggy it's pretty unplayable too. My friends and I have taken to just playing private matches because otherwise it may as well be dice rolls determining firefights.

If there were some way to get a refund on the Elite subscription, I would. I'm just glad I only paid $30 for it.

I wasn't a fan either. It had fantastic music and cool art, but that's about it. It would have been a good album but it was a boring game. How about a sale on some of the other Summer of Arcade titles?
