Yunno. No matter how hard people clamor over this stuff, I just didn't build an ornate enough foundation to look back at the adventure games with my rose tinted glasses and see something of value. I see the brownovision that has pushed the FPS genre along. Speaking of which, I enjoy those things more.

To me, adventure games will remain a dead genre. It's not worth my grating attempts at finding that enjoyment you lot seem to get out of it.

Looove it. SS2 is the best.

Isn't the "right" way to do this to offer it up free? That's what Valve did. I understand that this is Activison and they have troubles with long term thinking. And publishers are all up on the "transmedia" craze. Which doesn't work out the gate. Prototype 2 may as well just be out the gate with the amount of mindshare the original has.

Ludwig is pretty awesome from what I've heard on the old Joystiq podblast. Unfortunately his devious GotY metrics are undermined by staff guys boosting certain games in their personal lists. Or maybe that's by design? Who knows. Good luck to him as well!
