be more respectful of people that actually put some effort into talking about real issues in gaming industry. he brought pertinent points and everyone who cares about the direction of video games take should be interested to hear and understand. he's expressing he's discomfort regarding the last "PC" game, I don't see him whining. the only one having an emotional breakdown is you, using caps to make yourself heard ...
@AFATALERR0R It's not about what a PC can deliver, it's about the developer of the game. A medium-high spec PC can deliver impressive graphics at a price range of 1000-1200$ (including periferials as mouse, keyboard and a 22-24" monitor) All stays in the hands of the developer to optimize their engine to make a game really shine. I don't think crytek invested enough resources on the PC version of crysis 2 as they did in crysis 1, it's really that visible.
@koehler83 you better check again your "facts" about prices. you can have a decent configuration for 1200$ that will stay sharp for another 3-4 years, and than you'll only need to upgrade your video card for 200$. but I guess is just easier to swallow all that "expensive to maintain PC" bullcrap sponsored by MS and sony marketing machine.
@Marzz why would they offer you a DLC to a game that in few months would be forgotten? they won't sell much. Compared to selling a DLC when more still play the game, the chances to squeeze more bucks out of people frustration to be separated in multiplayer matches increases exponential. It's just a marketing exploit, and everyone is abusing it. Where is the SDK?...oh, the exploit won't work anymore. Tell you this, this industry has become more industrial.
64 as increased player cap on the same maps, or maps customized for 64 players in the PC version? I guess not. I would like to be wrong, but what are the chances that PC version maps will get more attention due to a higher player capacity? I guess none ...
to me this game has the good looks, but than fairies and dwarfs with pink translucent wings ...why oh why?! I'm looking at the concept art pieces and see grit, dark and gloom, where is that reflected in game? I know things are in a continuum transformation in the art direction department, but damn it! some douche from marketing had to open his mouth about how grit, dark and gloom won't sell... ranting and feeling better.
