How did a 14 year old kid subscribe to the Xbox live service on his own? And before that, how did he subscribe to an ISP? Even better, how did he get a telecomms service installed in his house? If his parents can't be bothered to verify contracts and take an interest in their child's safety, that's their problem.
Perhaps male genitalia should have a warning printed on them at birth: "Warning - do not insert into minors". Would that be a sufficient enough legal disclaimer for you?
