Serious Sam 3 to offer four-player splitscreen, seriously

Aug 10th 2011 12:30AM (Joystiq)
I have friends and family over our house constantly, at least once a week normally. It is so disappointing having to tell people that Left 4 Dead, the game centered around 4 player cooperation does not have 4 player split screen. And so many other games dont even have any splitscreen at all which is disappointing.

Now I know that online multiplayer is the wave of the future, but I don't think online gives that much of an excuse to exclude my friends from playing with me at my own house :/ Idc if the graphics take a huge dive I just wanna play with friends and family in a more physical form.

PSA: Nintendo 3DS available at Walmart for $170 today (get your 20 free games!)

to all the people saying "Still no games", It's already seen a price drop and there is most likely not going to be another in a very long time. You're gonna get plenty of good games between now and then.

In the meantime you'll have zelda and 20 free VC games if you buy now, and you'll most likely spend the same amount of money as you'd spend later.

@ToTheMoon

they recenlty reviewed and rated Captain America, Catherine, and a Call of Juarex. All retail games :)

SingStar goes 'Back To The 80s,' would do anything for love (but won't do that)

I imagine the spaces make it so that you should be reading it like Stevie from Malcolm in the Middle

I love fruit ninja. I really do. But I also love that it's 99 cents. Updating the graphics and making it so that I use my arm instead of my finger doesnt seem like its worth $10 instead of $1. maybe 5.

The only problem I have with the review is that It has a higher star rating than all the other Summer of Arcade games, giving the first impression that it's the best of the bunch (no pun intended).

Obviously this is because they are reviewed by different reviewers with different tastes and opinions and standards for higher ratings.

The graphics are better? You're just cutting fruit, man. Same game. Looks and plays different (different as in you use your arm instead of your finger), but still same game.

Hmm Joystiq, all of those modes are on the mobile version of the game. It's exactly the same as the mobile version except it's not portable, it costs 10 times more, and I'm sure there's the slight lag of kinect that can get a little frustrating when trying to get a higher score.

(unless there isnt lag then thats nice I guess)

While flailing my arms around instead of stroking my fingers sounds fun I think i'd rather spend $1 and play it anywhere rather than pay $10 and have to move furniture around just to play a game that was meant to be played in short bursts anyways.

Not a bad game, but I do not think it deserves a higher score than the other Summer of Arcade games that have came out.
