@ll features ll Its cuz the black pokemon causes contrast with the white background! If you played pokemon white, and the bg was black, that would make less sense! and putting a white pokemon on a white bg looks like crap.
The starters kinda remind me of other starters... the water type looks similar to piplup, the fire type looks a bit like cyndaquill, and the grass type looks like treecko... They suck except the grass type...
