This is not an odd comment at all. What we refer to today as netbooks are only going to get more powerful as time goes on. Meanwhile, the increase in SSD size and speed as well as access to cheap large flash drives will make disk based media on netbooks even less of a pain to forgo. To the average consumer, a computer that has a reasonable amount of storage and internet capabilities is all they need or really want. Users with more specific needs or greater general use of graphic intensive apps may still opt for the larger and more expensive laptop if they please. I would not be surprised if that segment continues to shrink considerably while the netbook segment continues to grow. Price is always an amazing driving force.
I have always loved Nintendo's games, but they treat their fans like crap.
Their popular games come out literally YEARS late sometimes.
They know people love thier old games, so they milk the hell out of them and sell games like "Excitebike" for $20.
People ask for something and they say "No, we are gonna give you what we tell you you want."
No SMW on lauch day. No cult classics that people have been begging for. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. People are lined up with money willing to buy a product that cost almost nothing for you to produce and distribute and your answer is that you will release them when you feel it is convenient.
Sheesh
Way to crap on your EXTREMELY loyal fans yet again Nintendo.
They are just trying to do whatever they can to avoid the feds getting involved in this arena. The electronic software industry is low on government oversight, and for good reason. The feds do a good job of mucking things up and creating stupid and unnecessary regulation which raises costs and drives down profits. Now everyone in the industry is trying to be as parent friendly as they can so they can keep self-regulating. I personally think they have been doing a pretty good job so far, and that the ESRB does a pretty good job of representing product. The public issue with video games are a media and politician created phenomenon. Because of that, NCSoft has to suck up a little to the parents.
