Not to be too picky, but I'm not sure that Gamespy played Conquest for very long. It isn't that great of a game (though it isn't horrendous) but you CAN switch from ship to ship. You just tap left and right on the d-pad. Sounds like he played for a few minutes a wrote a review...

So.... a little unrelated BUT... Does anyone know when TR: Anniversary is coming out for the 360? They are only listing it for the Wii on Eidos.com even though all major retailers are saying October 23. Anyone know what is going on?

MASS EFFECT has been delayed until next year!!! The official announcement hasn't come yet but trust me: NEXT YEAR.

Don't look for Mass Effect in September. Substantial rumors are starting to make it look like... NEXT YEAR. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Paid Placement

It happens in magazines all the time. They create a list and then allow companies to either pay for a place on the list or receive free tech from the companies "for consideration". I like my PS3 as much as the next guy, but this is a bit much. It reminds me of Men's Health's "must have" tech list from November of last year. Know what was at the top:

Microsoft's Zune.

I bought the 20 gig because, with my trade in, I got it for $400. Yes, Gamestop is evil, but it was worth it. Wi-fi and card reader? *YAWN* Don't need 'em... but thanks anyway. Bigger hard drive? I'm with the 270 gig guy. I will say that I had to work REALLY hard to get a 20 gigger. They were sold out everywhere. It was worth it.

Does anyone else wonder where the producers' get the money for these movies? Do they generate enough ad revenue and DVD sales to actually turn a profit. Every time I've sat down for a Sci-Fi Original I've tuned out within the first twenty minutes. (The Dune/BSG miniseries have been a large exception.) I'm just wondering if anyone actually WATCHES these movies... because I can't.

You're way off! This is one of the best new show's of the year. I like the fact that the characters are dealing with consequences of their actions and I'm REALLY hoping that it doesn't end up as some stupid "caper of the week" show. The side characters and extra plots are what add depth and layers to the show. I'm just crossing my fingers that CBS doesn't give it the axe.
