yeah, and most moves can't hit a pokemon on the opposite side of the field. If your opponent is on the far left and you are on the far right, it's possible that none of your attacks will be able to connect.

Sure one of you can switch to the middle position in order to hit the opponent, but that's one of those basic gripes I have with the series. Just make the battles 1-on-1 until a pokemon is revived, then automatically change it to 2-on-2.

And the lack of any significant side-activities like contests or pokethlon just shows the creators are scraping bottom-barrel stuff. Musicals, that's really was decided on to replace contests?

I'm actually going to wait to get the eventual 3rd version of this game when it comes out in two years or so. Expect an announcement from Japan about the 3rd version (or heck, an R/S remake) sometime this summer.
This generation just doesn't grab me for some reason - and I've been with the franchise since Red/Blue. If it wasn't for Pokemon I probably wouldn't ever play video games.

Wow, I wonder if the 3DS is going to be backwards compatible with all of those retail DSi-exclusive games that haven been released.

So... what enhanced gameplay does this give my best friend and grandfather who only have one eye, each? Is the 3DS going to continue the "Touch Generation" brand to bring in the [vastly] older audience?
And any price above $150 is not worth my time. Same with any video game above $50 (even then I probably bought a full-priced retail console game maybe 3 times in my life).

Considering I live on a small family farm and we get the majority of our meat from our own cows, I'm good for my meat-gettings.

Never heard of this before and it sounds pretty decent. Though being published by Square-Enix has me worried that it's going to be another over-priced DS game.
