I have an Ice tank but ive been thinking about making a fire one. Tanking has always been my favorite class to play in any mmo and i love that this game has two completely different tanking styles. As an Ice Tank I survive by buffing my defense to mitigate damage while fire tanks are all about the self heals.
Anyways, I have to say that I'm still looking forward to playing this with PS3 launch of the game. I have to say that, in some ways, I actually like SE's attitude. They know what they want this game to be and what they don't want it to be. They're not trying to make it an amalgamation of every MMO on the market to get more subscribers. As for the UI, I can't comment, until I try to manage using it on PS3.
It's a world they created, it's their rules. Don't like it? Play something else.
The emphasis on armor doesn't bug so much if we're able to hide it. Although, I've been pretty concerned about how gaudy and tacky so many of the player created heroes and villains look so far. Look at heroes like batman and superman, they're costumes are very simple but still iconic. They don't have all kinds of stuff sticking out of every part of their uniform. As long as what I've been seeing reflects player's bad taste in costumes and not a limited amount of options for character design I'm for it.
LOTRO's Loremaster had to be the single most unique class I've ever played in an MMO.
They'd have so much to do in a group. Keeping the healers stocked with power, debuffing mobs, crowd control, and their dps isn't bad at all either. Also, their Hawks are my favorite pet of any game. A good loremaster would have a ton of things to do in a group and would look like a spastic child in a candy store when things got thick.
Haha. Guess my comment did come off as negative sounding. I wasn't complaining. Yes, it's a grind but I trio with my buddies and we still have fun, otherwise I wouldn't be sub'd to it. I enjoy MMO's that require teamwork. I just meant that even though it's somewhat easier to solo more content the game will always be group centric.
WTF is with the magic being tossed around all willy-nilly-like. that isn't LOTR. There's only supposed to be five wizards in that world and that guy wasn't one of them.
