Wii System Update 4.2 now live

You used homebrew to pirate a game. That's all that really matters.

Spelunker HD explores PSN in America

agreed, I remember this being one of my first NES experiences as a kid and could never get passed the first ten or so seconds of the game.

DS piracy leads to 2.5-year prison sentence

because copyright laws differ from country to country and there's no international standard. Let's say that in Spain it is perfectly legal to distribute and download software and other copyrighted material, then it would be really easy to just find someone in Spain to run a server for you where you could legally store all your pirated games for others to download. The US or Japan really couldn't do much about it since it's not against the law there, they could go after the downloaders instead of the providers, but it's much more efficient to catch the big guys instead.

actually, if you hit the minus button during the tutorials, it will skip right over them.

Nintendo Europe: 'No plans' for Skype on the DSi

Apr 23rd 2009 9:07AM (Joystiq)
I would buy a DSi if it had Skype. A Skype wifi phone is already around 100 bucks or so and I would like a good reason to upgrade from my DSi. I'd buy a DSi sole to have a portable wifi video phone for $170. Doesn't that sound amazing? It's really too bad this will never happen. The future is already here, yet it's so far out of reach.

April ... Fools? Wii Qube and Wii Relax may be real

they need to make a Wii Katamari Damacy where you put the Wii remote into a big form ball and roll it around the floor. On top of the ball there will be big red circle that says STOP and everytime that is pointing up, that is the zero point. Kind of like a giant trackball, but not quite.

Waninkoko's Wii USB loader demoed

marcan needs to stop being a bitch and start competing ala microsoft vs apple.

team twiizers came up with the wonderful homebrew channel which has a beautiful interface. Everything that waninkoko comes up with is highly functional but lacks any aesthetic beauty. These apps are going to find their way to the public with ease, and team twiizers needs to stop hoarding all the knowledge and share their talent with the public, just like waninkoko is doing.

They could easily give him some competition buy programming something that is both easy on the eyes and easy to use. Waninkoko is talented and his releases make me jump for joy, but he lacks the style needed to make a "beautiful" product. Sure it works, but it's kind of ugly to look at.

actually, the largest game for the Wii is Super Smash Bros Brawl, and it only took 30 minutes to copy to the HDD, all other games take less than 10 minutes or so.

this app works wonderfully and will only get better as it goes. Plug in your USB HDD, format it with the app, load your Wii disc and tell it to back it up, SSBB took 30 minutes, Wii Sports and Boom Blox took less than 10. An added bonus is that it practically eliminates all load time in games since it uses USB 2.0, which can read much faster than the 6x DVD drive in your Wii. Sure, there is still minute load time, but this speeds things up by nearly 75%.
