" *snip* ... And where are the Ridge Racer comparison shots? Hmmm???"

http://www.destructoid.com/ridge-racer-6-7-comparisons-27828.phtml

Also, Gamespots comparison was not arbitrary simply because there were eight cross-console games being compared, by a variety of developers in a variety of genres. Most of those dev's had more than enough time to make any 'additions' to the PS3 version...but are we to conclude they are all lazy or incapable, hence the similar to or less than quality of the PS3 versus the 360?

Microsoft whines, sues Sony... now that's just sad

First off Mr. Scott Krueger, why dont you just say that Live! costs 400 bucks for 8 years? Then the 360 is 1100 dollars! See you're pulling Sony line all the same

Game System: NO Multiplayer
---------------------------
$399 for Premium
$ 0 Silver Live! account
$ 0 wireless controller
$ 0 headset communicator

TOTAL: $399

Game System: w/Multiplayer
--------------------------
$399 *Same as Above* plus
$ 50 for Live! Years service. Deals can lower cost to 30 bucks,

TOTAL: $449

Game AND Movie System
---------------------
$399 *Same as Above*
$ 50 *Same as Above*
$199 OPTIONAL (has no bearing on games)

TOTAL $ 648

I dont know WHAT you're talking about with the Xbox1, XSATA or Memcard?? If you're referring to SAVING YOUR GAME, thats what the harddrive is for with the Premium 360 purchase for 399...zing! So you're padding the cost just as much as they are.

The simple fact is that the HDDVD is NOT REQUIRED to play GAMES. All Sony had to do is to say:

"To match all you GET with a PS3, you must buy this..." then go on to describe all that I just outlined, plus add in the wifi card. But no, they intentionally used the core package, and implied that all the rest is necessary to play games, including making it appear as if the 360 didn't even come with a controller! You dont NEED a wireless controller to play games, so why do this Sony?

Thats why this is shady.

Celebrate PSP Fanboy's 1,000th post, win WTF

There are actually "fanboys" of the PSP!?

..wow...

:D

Reminder: Just Cause demo available tomorrow

I do Ouch...I SINCERELY wanted to like the game, but the terrible vehicle physics and bugs made it absolutely intolerable. A new patch was released not too long ago, and I installed BP again on a superior machine and it still wasn't all that playable. :(

...hence my 'more than so' interest in this game. :)

"Oh and by the way there is no emergency brake."

Um, perhaps you should go and play it again...but here's a hint: Its the Left Trigger. ;)

Another list of ten top things: game weapons

Jun 29th 2006 11:24PM (Joystiq)
I'd rate any weapon on how they feel to use, which is a combination of elements such as weight, attack-effects, impact-effects, animation, sound, dynamics, etc...

...and I'd trade many of those in that list for the Blades of Chaos in God of War in a heartbeat. VERY satisfying.

In the slight obscure category, I'm partial to the way the guns felt in the Hitman series, primarily for the way they sounded, so I'd toss in the minigun from Hitman 2.

#7, was my first comment too subtle? I think your direct approach might have more impact...at least it wasn't just me that felt as such.

Thank you! :D

#6, I'd have to believe that Nintendo consider most any possible combinations of setups. Consider that its rather specific in its function, so as long as you can point the bar outwards towards your playing area, you should be fine, be it above the tv or even as low as just on the floor in front of a projection.

As for shooting game, I understand it now that its not Line of Sight, like a lightgun or laser pointer, but rather cumulative motion, like a mouse is to your monitor. You pitch and yaw the Wiimote, and the curor updates its position on screen. Of course I could have misread that, but it does make sense with regards to varying tv sizes and calibration.

Sorry #4, my arrows weren't meant for you! :D

To be topical, I never realised how sexy that blue rim around the CD slot looks. Very slick all around...

/me looks at watch

...damn is still Summer. :(
