Where was this group in the hundreds of cases where a white actor has portrayed a non-white person, either real or imagined, for the last hundred years? Can I get a comment on white dudes in yellowface with taped-back eyes? Maybe they have something to say about blackface, since they're so obsessed with facsimile? The only novelty in this story is that it's the (far) less than 1% of such cases where a non-white actor is playing a white person. I think I might have respected their opinion on this if they had sent out a similar press release before the opening of The Last Airbender on the subject of Katara going from brown to blonde.

I'm glad you've broken through the nostalgia/inertia barrier to enjoy 4th Edition. Thumbs up.

I just read The Shattering yesterday. As far as I could tell, about a year passes between the end of Wrath and the actual Cataclysm. Anduin looks young because he is still represented as the 9 or 10 year old from Vanilla, but post-Wrath he's 12 and in Cata he's 13 and has just hit a growth spurt (I'm not making this up). That's pretty much how the book presents it.

I think it's moving forward about a half year after the event itself to accomodate the inclusion of Bilgewater Goblins and Worgen, and to set up Thrall's new campaign in the Maelstrom. So Dec. 7 could bring us between 1.5 and 2 years after Bolvar... did what he did. That part is my speculation, based on the timelines of the origin stories of Bilgewater Goblins and Worgen.

Definitely check out The Shattering. I'm rarely impressed by tie-in novels, but this one was pretty special. Christie did some really great things with the characters, and it really captured the interwoven feel of WoW quest lines.

Ohh! The Worgen racial mount is just getting bit with Curse Lite and turning into a Worgen to run. Nelfgens, Dwargens, and Gnorgens, oh my!

They'll probably include some race-less Alliance mount that looks like that crazy thing the Worgen was supposed to ride. At least I hope so, since it's the perfect mount for my Dwarf Warrior...

In other news, my Worgen Druid is going to transform into 20 different things, in 20 different configurations. "I'm just a guy who shapeshifts into a guy who shapeshifts into another guy... who runs faster than a horse."

The great thing about Troll Druids is that they do their own thing. Like Troll Priests, Shaman, and Hunters, they're connected to Troll gods and spirits (loa) and don't really play ball with Night Elves, Tauren, or Worgen.

Haters gonna hate, Trolls gonna be Trolls.

Besides not being close to Azeroth's natural world, there are other reasons why Dranei would frown upon Druidism. Most Dranei don't even like the fact that members of their race are dabbling in Shamanism instead of focusing on the Light. The only reason it's tolerated is because Velen believes that the Broken are the key to their future. To see how unpopular Shamanism is among Dranei--okay, not among players, but in the lore--look at the fact that their only representatives in the Earthen Ring are Broken.

Warlock is right out, for obvious reasons. The only possible future class is Rogue.

As for Goblins... they'll pretend to believe in anything if there's profit involved.

Umm... the Wiimote is just a camera as well. The piece that goes on the TV are two infrared lights, and the main Wii remote has a camera in the front. By the sound of it, this is just flipping the arrangement around.

Anyway, between being a cheap blu-ray player and, apparently, being a Wii alternative, PS3 might catch up with the 360 soon.
