This game is shaping up to be good, and I hope they improve on the previous game, which I found a little lacking at times. It's good to see they're reworking the atrocious combat system (it devolved for me into clicking whenever the visual cue popped up, regardless of what was happenning around me) and I hope that they tone down on the rampant sex that Geralt has. I mean, they tried to sell the idea that Witchers were disliked and shunned by society, yet women seemed to be tripping over themselves to have sex with him? And come on, all you have to do to have sex with a woman is bring her some flowers/jewelry/random item?
I also hope the pacing of quests is a bit better this time. I loved the investigative side of the game, and actually having to figure our things instead of clues being spoon fed to me. But more than once, in order to advance a quest in The Witcher 1, I had to do things that had absolutely nothing to do with the quest you were trying, most notably when having to talk a bunch of times with Shani for no particular reason and this would magically move the plot along, or being forced to do unrelated activities, like having to do the monoliths and magic tower quest in order to move along the Vizima Confidential quest.
There must be some sort of mistake on that list. Either it doesn't include portable consoles, or there's some variable I'm missing, but There are a few DS games (Nintendogs, New Super Mario Bros, Brain Training, Mario Kart DS) that have sold over or near 20 million units, and there are a few Wii games that have reached that plateau too. While MW2 has sold very well, the numbers are more closer to 10 million (and that's being generous) when you add the PS3 and Xbox360 sales, and even more so when the list actually claims that it doesn't include PC sales.. But not only that, but MW2 is not the best selling game on either the Xbox 360 or the PS3, by far! It's not even in the top 3! how can this be the third highest selling game in history?
