Like who? I honestly can't think of a single good example...

UT2004 was also pirated a lot and yet it made much, much better sales than GeoW and UT3 on PC. So no, I don't believe that piracy was the main reason for a shoddy port of GeoW.

They're just jealous ;) But yeah, I don't understand why Jostiq keeps posting about PC gaming either.

You can try that on PC already with the 3D vision kit from Nvidia, and it does feel great!

Too bad "consoles" are all lumped together in one big fat vategory, it's really not helpful.

Err, I wouldn't recommend that. The console version actually looks like the "low" settings of the PC version. And honestly the "optimum" requirements aren't needed unless you plan to play in resolutions above 1080p with all filters activated. Plus it's more expensive and doesn't allow KB/M controls, naturally.
