Mar 23rd 2011 1:47PM (ComicsAlliance)2)Not only does Huntress' little trimming show off her breasts, it also makes a little cross makes her costume look a bit like a cathloic who's guilt ran them right off to work in a strip club.
3) you're use of "Overrated" in regards to a Batman movie that is NOT Dark Knight makes no sense to me. I love Phifer's costume and acting.
4)The star saphires are really just a league of battered women who find liberation in exotic dancing. OMG, that would make an amazing one shot.

Apr 3rd 2010 7:06PM (Cinematical)I really like this article and the how much time you accredit to the argument put forth by the 'other side.' I call them that because I, mostly, agree with you too.
I don't think, for a second that Kick ass or Scott will destroy the genre. For me, both these films fall into the a new genre all by themselves, in regards to past comic movies and movies that make fun of comic movies. As opposed to Shaun of the Dead, which set out to make fun of zombie movies, these two seem to just be making fun of life, while being based on a comic. The "wouldn't it be cool if" aspect of them target a different audience, or at least a different part of the brain, than comics and comic movies about good, evil, redemption, alienation, etc. They put the punchline first, like in the title for instance, and hit it over and over throughout the movie. They are strictly for instant gratification and miss most of the things other comic and comic movies try to get across.
The genre that I believe KA and SP belong to might waiver but will never die. It will affect our genre, with movies trying to be like it, but ours will hopefully not become so jaded.
And for the record, I also really liked the Watchmen movie and everything it stood for.
