Joystiq poll: Will the PS3 price affect your console combo?

May 29th 2006 12:48AM (Joystiq)
Well i'm getting a PS3 because they pay people to post on blogs. These people really need money cuzz then they can go to school, plus is learn how to speak grammar. All the other guys have is games - this game-centric blog is so biased... stop ragging on the obviously superior movie player.

PS: You cat dying, please buy PS3... STFU.

PPS: I heard they put technoly in PS3. I don't even know what that is, so it must be awesome.

New Castlevania, awful art style confirmed

Apr 21st 2006 12:55AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm fine with it. The animation sequences in DoS were beautiful. the characters have to be designed FOR animation.

and if you spent all day looking at the concept art, I'd agree with you... give me giger, brom, etc. but the sprites will be great no matter the concept style - so settle that business down.

DS Lite and Brain Age not playing well together

Apr 20th 2006 12:34AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
(Try pronouncing it with a silent E.)
works fine on my phat - I'll still be getting a lite - perhaps the mic is calibrated to japanese voices. Hopefully ours will work dandy.

and yeah, this game is rad. worth it just for the sodoku.

65% of women, 35% of men aged 25-34 play games

Apr 17th 2006 1:02PM (Joystiq)
sweet - yeah, the key is to just stop when you hit a 2digit score. Otherwise you have to join a minesweeper community and read minesweeper blogs, write minesweeper fan fiction, and post on minestiq.com

save your wife before it's too late.

DS sales boosts Nintendo's profit target 27%

Apr 5th 2006 2:10AM (Joystiq)
So I went to do my taxes at h&r block the other day... (I promise this is related)
I'm sitting there waiting for my turn... so I think, why don't I check to see if there's a wireless network here? There is. it's open. I play two rounds of metroid - win, move on to some tetris - kick butt, and just as I finish, it's my turn. Waiting in line is now fun. Thank you nintendo. (also Vancouver Canada is HOT for wireless.)

En garde! First person swordplay on the Revolution

Apr 4th 2006 3:58AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
ha! not if your sword is sharp enough. and who says no force feedback? that's still an unknown.
Nice post #2, and why not a sport fencing title with epee, saber, and foil fencing, and real coaching and footwork intstruction.
As a fencer, I am hot on as many sword games as we can get. I'll buy them all. This would be my new favorite genre too. I'm sure it would also bring some more attention to the sport.

New Tetris DS commercial

Mar 15th 2006 12:26PM (Joystiq)
hmmmm... not turning your system off for a week... that's hard core. You like tetris a lot. I wouldn't be able to put down all the other games for that long.

Japanese hardware sales: Lite's out

Mar 13th 2006 11:56PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
that 450,000 number is what nintendo was hoping to ship in march. assuming they can ramp up production, or at least keep up the pace - they'll do it.
120 000 x4
= 480,000 - soo... good prediction nintendo! (though they could probably sell more than that if they could make them.)

Breaking the heart of the original DS

Mar 2nd 2006 4:11AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I believe it is by MUM - a great icelandic band. I will have to hunt down the track name tomorrow though. They are GREAT though, check them out. If I'm wrong, then it would have to be sigur ros... I just know I listened to it a bunch a couple years ago.

If that commercial's not official, nintendo should just buy it up and put it on tv.
