@(Unverified) My guess would be that Adidas owns the MiCoach property, and contracted with THQ to develop the game and software/hardware. THQ failed to deliver. Adidas subsequently went out and found another developer to do MiCoach, and asked that THQ turn over documentation and completed work to this new company. THQ did not do this. Adidas, smelling a potential betrayal and possible loss of proprietary information, filed suit to prevent THQ from selling the work to someone else, and to collect on damages on a product that was likely targeted to be out for the post-holiday fitness boom, but did not meet that deadline.
@rowd149 The Flood was the laziest licensed book I've ever read. It was like he just watched somebody playing Halo: CE and he transcribed it court reporter style. Simply awful. The Flood is the only Halo novel I didn't finish... but Glasslands may be the 2nd.
@KillerC Its the same in Halo since at least Halo 3. I had a gametype from Halo 2 I called Assault on Uranus. Granted, it was pretty sophmorish. But in Halo 3, "Assault" is banned, as well as "Uranus.". So I changed it to "A Salt on Ur and Us" in custom games. But recently, that's been getting filtered too. Now its "Salt on Us." Pretty soon, I'm sure it'll just have to be shortened to "A."
This game was... wanting... to say the least. I played the first one one DS and found it to be much more clever and entertaining. The iOS game is for the lowest common denominator. There is very little creative opportunity, and the puzzles aren't really puzzles, more, "hey, this police officer needs something he can use to write with... what could that be?" The entire game felt like a tutorial level.
Plus, once you've "solved" the puzzle, unlike the earlier versions, you do not get rewarded for solving it again in different or creative ways. You just complete it. Again. Whoopdeedoo!
I will not be buying the DLC pack. I felt cheated buying this for $1 when it was on sale. There are much better options available on iOS.
@newtype06 Devices like this are actually extremely popular in the retro gaming market. They're not meant expressly for portability, like playing on the bus or something, but its handy to have around the house. Retro collector types will eat it up if it a quality product.
Tempted on the season pass, but only because of Raam's Shadow and the possible other campaign content (one more chapter yet to come, isn't there?).
It seems there's a lot of discontent on the interwebz among Gears fans lately. I don't think putting the Season Pass on sale before all of the content is even out will smooth things over with them...
