Potions, Portals, and Scrolls of Recall: How to get around Azeroth as quickly as possible

Feb 8th 2012 4:18PM (WoW)
I'm no crafter, nor a hardcore min/maxer (the profs are all close enough to that +80stat threshold for me). Inscription made me some cash, but I wasn't producing in the quantities I feel like Inscription thrives on. Besides, I've make a comfortable amount of gold with enchanting.

My shaman could already hearth in two ways. What he couldn't do was slow fall, super-sprint, summon a robotic butler, or fly on an annoyingly loud pile of metal.

Potions, Portals, and Scrolls of Recall: How to get around Azeroth as quickly as possible

Another tidbit about Scrolls of Recall:

If you use a Scroll of Recall past it's threshold level (they say what that level is in their tooltip), it basically acts like the Relic of Argus and teleports you somewhere random.

This was my single favorite thing about Inscription, and the only thing I was sad to lose when I dropped it.

Blizzard forums MVP calls fellow PvPers to arms

Look, I'm out there every...many of the days on my mage doing all I can to prove that mages certainly do not need nerfs, and in fact can be killed with surprising regularity in BGs.

You're welcome.

Officers' Quarters: The plight of 25-man raiding guilds

Jan 30th 2012 2:02PM (WoW)
And I think it's only going to get worse, because everyone who has never done a real 25-man raid (myself included) is having their experience colored by LFR.

25 just feels too big to me. For all the reasons given in the article and the other comments. I agree with a post a few above mine, I like 10-man for the importance it places on each member and the more concentrated unit feel.

Blizzard looking into weapon enchant display solution

I would also prefer an actual transmog option for enchants, but a toggle would suit me just fine - they can't implement it fast enough. I am DESPERATE to get rid the visuals of Landslide and...*slight retch*...Power Torrent.

Fun fact: I use Heartsong instead of Power Torrent on my resto shammy's Vagaries of Time. It's not as good. I know. But the subtle blue of Heartsong looks so damn good, and Power Torrent is an atrocity on a mace with subtle details like Vagaries of Time (has a clock hand animation on it).

I am constantly hunting for those precious transmog weapons that feature their own glow effect that overrides my enchant. Perfect examples are my mage's excellently understated Staff of Polarities, and my rogue's Perdition's Blade

The aesthetic consequences of new character models

Jan 24th 2012 10:51AM (WoW)
If I could snap my fingers and make it so, I'd give each gender/race multiple animation options. And yes, I know that's excessive and never going to happen. We're snapping fingers here.

Face and body design wise, I'd be ok with scorching the earth. Every class. Even worgen and goblins. Why not. Again, finger snapping. Give everything high def face redesigns. Eliminate clipping in all ways with all gear (the biggest and only problem of draenei males). Give every piece of armor a shiny update while you're at it, or at least all chest pieces.

But if you're making me choose, humans and night elves males go first. Human females are a close next, followed immediately by gnomes and orcs of both genders.

Really what I'd love to see is some distinguishable variety in the faces. I know its a lot to ask in a game where we don't see the faces most of the time...but we're snapping fingers here.

Crysis 2 for 10 bucks? Yes, sir! Done and done.

12 bucks is too much for Dragon Age 2. It's not worth it. But it's not nearly enough for Dragon Age Origins, so I guess it balances out.

Maybe MW3 they can put some of those profits towards balancing akimbo and the FM9 in particular.

64-bit World of Warcraft game client now available for testing

Nice, can't wait till this is released for the main servers.

I'm already using almost 19% of my SSD space on WoW, this should give load times another boost.

The Queue: Being a nothlit is cheating

Jan 3rd 2012 4:07PM (WoW)
I had many obsessions in my adolescent years. Dinosaurs. Ninja Turtles. Power Rangers. Pokemon. that game Creatures. Those shoes with the plastic plate in the bottom you could slide on rails with. But few things rivaled my devotion to Animorphs. The kind of devotion that drives a kid to plaster his door with printed out book covers and read the Alternamorphs spinoffs. I must have read every book in the first 20-30 a dozen times each.

I have been, and always shall be, on Team Marco.
