I wonder if an Amazon app for xbox will happen. I'm a prime member and would absolutely love it. I suppose it would compete too much with their zune video offerings. I know there are work arounds through media center to get amazon content on the xbox, but they are way too much of a hassle...

@wrongThinker There's been a 360 controller with improved (transforming) dpad out for some time now. You should check it out.

@EIranzer Love Dragon's Lair, even finished it once in the arcade. But I didn't care for part II. It was way too hard for 14 yr old me to master.

@radda yes, I'm playing on a console (360) and thank you so much for such a complete and thorough answer to the concerns I expressed. I can rest easy... for now. My reaction (paranoid) makes me think this is a pretty bad PR move for EA. It sows doubt and might make people hesitate before purchasing any future EA games... or in the case of some commentors here, outright refuse to purchase.

Automatic nostalgia purchase if it's 400 pts. If not, I'll sit tight and wait for a sale (or just revisit the DVD version I have that I never play because the controls stink).

I have one EA game with the online pass: Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning (fantastic game, BTW). Every time I fire it up it connects to EA servers (it tells me this with a message on screen) to do some sort of DLC verification. There was some day 1 "free" dlc that comes with the online pass (House of Valor quests, I believe?) that I downloaded, but it seems to do this check thing everytime I play the game.

So, in the future when they shut down "online" support for this single player game because nobody is playing it anymore, will this content be inaccesable to me?

To be honest, I didn't miss it. Bought the 360 version the first week it was available, but I'd love this collector's edition.
