FPS games by nature do not need to be linear. Deus Ex for example.

Don't wait for the Windows 7 phone. I have Zune and no matter how hard I try I can't escape this feeling like I'm a huge queer for owning one. If you have to get a "smart phone" get an iPhone like everyone else.

The last time I went to a Gamestop event, it was the midnight launch of Arkham Asylum. They had planned a costume contest and prizes for people. I was the only one that came. I thought it would be packed like with RE5's launch, so I got there an hour early to get a good spot in line.
