HDD-equipped Wiis now taunting you at Nintendo World Store

Oct 22nd 2008 2:51PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm low on storage and this is what I have downloaded so far...

Super Mario World
Super Mario Brothers 3
Castlevania SNES (whatever it's called)
Adventures of Lolo
Bubble Bobble
Super Metroid

Megaman 9
Lost Winds
Groovin Blocks
Dr. Mario
Tetris Party

Mario Kart Channel
Photo Channel
Weather Channel
Internet Channel

Which, in my opinion, isn't that much... yet another 2 Wii Ware games will probably max me out. It's a tad bit ridiculous.

Wii Warm Up: What Channel? The Photo Channel?

Excellent scathing comment.

As for me, I never used it personally by my friend once used his after he spent a couple weeks in South America to show us some pics.

OMG at Resistance Leviathan (ad) attacking building

Oct 21st 2008 10:17AM (Joystiq Playstation)
It is really cool, but imagine if that was the building you worked in and your office was on that side. Your sunlight would be blocked for how long? A couple of days? A couple of weeks?

That would really suck.

Wii Warm Up: On how Travis can win your heart

Oct 9th 2008 9:19AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I was not a fan of the first game. I bought it, played a couple of hours and then sold it.

My main gripe: Camera... it was terrible, when running I was constantly getting turned around and lost because it was quite hard to maneuver.

Second gripe: Overworld was very bland, it was like a huge deserted city with nothing to do

Third: Didn't like the graphics. Don't get me wrong... cell shaded can be awesome and NMH should remain cell shaded but I think they could add more cells / shades of color take a look at XIII on the gamecube for what I mean. I felt NMH was too contrast-y

That being said I'll pick up this game if just #1 is fixed, I can overlook the other two

Wii Warm Up: Your WiiWare experience

Sep 19th 2008 11:35AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Bought Lost Winds, and Dr. Mario...

I play Dr. Mario all the time (my g/f loves it) and Lost Winds was great. I want to buy Toki Tori and the Strongbad games. Nothing else really interests me at this point.

Mega Man 9, Animals de Muerte and World of Goo are titles I'm looking forward to.

That being said, the ratio of good vs. bad is dissapointing.

Wii Warm Up: FPS vs. RPG

Aug 29th 2008 9:10AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm more of a FPS type person myself, which is why I was enormously excited about the Wii.

That being said, I love Diablo. It's most definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

So where's that leave me? Probably voting for FPS.

Metareview - Mario Super Sluggers (Wii)

It's baseball so it's going to be inherently boring... OHHHH!

All kidding aside, it's a sports franchise. If you're looking for something different than the previous years iteration then I suggest you look into a different genre.

Top 5: Games Wii Are Jealous of

Aug 25th 2008 3:55PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I will be picking up a PS3 soon (mostly because of Blu-ray & media center capabilities) but also so I can play some great games I've been missing. (MGS4, Uncharted, RE5 when it comes out).

So I'll have a Wii, PS3 and just recently updated computer.

I've got all games on this list covered.

Point/Counterpoint: Pros and Conduits

Aug 15th 2008 2:44PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I think that it does deserve the hype simply because it's a game that is trying to disprove a lot of "Wii Stereotypes" namely, it has to have bad graphics and it's only for kiddie / mini games.

High Voltage seems excited and dedicated to make this better than the average crap game that gets released on the system, so in turn I'll put a little faith in them and be excited too.

Wii Warm Up: Positioning

Aug 15th 2008 10:19AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I usually sit straight up on the couch with one hand and controller on one knee / thigh and the other on the other one.

For as long as I've played video games I've never played them in a slouched or relaxed position. I get way too into them and feel like I don't play as well when I'm slothing it.
