True, but each market varies. At the time, the local dealers here in Dallas would budge maybe $500, and then give another $500-$1000 for customer loyalty (I already owned 2 Infinitis that I had to term do to divorce). I'm not saying you can't get deals, but most Nissan dealers will definitely sell you the Maxima at or below invoice. The Infinitis used to be harder to deal on, but obviously times are different than a year ago!

I bought almost this exact model (color and everything) back in November 2008 when it was nearly new for $33,500 (sub invoice). So yes it may be stickered at $38,000+, but you'll never pay that unless you're horrible at car buying. Now a G37 by comparison, would have a $41,000 price tag, and you'd be hard pressed to get an Infiniti Dealership to dip much under $40,000 to walk out the door with it. So yes, sticker is very similar, but out the door pricing is much different between the true Luxury brands and this fine automobile.
