As a "Caucasian-American", I'd say it's time we got rid of all the "___-American" identifiers. I see blacks, latinos, asians, etc., complaining about how they aren't treated equally to whites and/or to each other, and in many cases they are right. But do you know one of the things that helps that stay true? Calling yourself an "_____-American" instead of just an American. It's one more way all the races/nationalities are kept divided in this country. And as long as we are all divided, constantly bickering with each other, constantly distrusting each other, constantly blaming each other, constantly categorizing each other into color-coded groups, there will NEVER be a change and racism WILL continue to flourish in this country. As long as we continue to divide ourselves,e are all a governments wet dream, as they will never have to worry about us rising against them as a nation regardless of what they do. United we stand, divided we fall.
