Epic 4G coming August 31st for $249.99 on contract (updated)

Aug 12th 2010 8:09AM (Engadget)
$50 more for a keyboard, super AMOLED screen and a faster processor makes sense. Sprint knows that people have been waiting for this device, so they're going to make their pennies anyway they can. What I don't understand is this "Epic is better/not better then Evo/Droid 2/Whatever Android device" crap. It's an Android phone running Froyo with a kick-@$$ screen and a keyboard. If that's your huckleberry, get the phone. If slider keyboards aren't your thing (I fall into that catagory) and you don't want to pay for something you won't use, get the Evo. In 12 months they're going to be releasing something newer, faster and flashier anyway, folks ... let's just be happy that the Android army is about to grow something serious with this phone ...

It's an option for people who don't want to deal with a projector setup. Didn't the 65's have light leakage issues? Still, there's something cool about a laser tv ...

iPhone 4 review

Jun 22nd 2010 7:41PM (Engadget)
Great review, Josh. This does sound like the phone to beat. The thing about the iPhone is it's simplicity. There's beauty in simplicity that a LOT of people miss. Me, I'll stick with my Evo. But I won't take anything away from this here beauty ...

Fellas, it's a matter of taste. If you're an iPhone person, this is the cat's meow. Great camera, high res screen, good battery life, a gazillion apps ... what's not to like? If you're not an Apple person, this is just an updated iPhone. Keep it movin' ... nuthin' to see here ...

HTC EVO suffering from glass separation issues?

Jun 13th 2010 6:58PM (Engadget)
Joys of technology .... I wonder if a bad batch of phones went out. Mine doesn't have the light leakage, grounding issue or screen separation. It's been rock-solid since I got it.

I'm not sure about that HTC screen issue comment. I've had three HTC phones, and I've had no problems with any of them.
