Glad to hear people are getting their copies. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the shaft though. My copy didn't come with a code to redeem online, so I utilized the hard copy form I found out about from Joystiq. Sent in the form, my upc label, and the original purchase receipt, along with a check for 4.99 per the form's instructions. Sent it in about 2-3 weeks before the cut-off date for the promotion. As of today, they still haven't cashed that check. If I don't get it I won't be too torn up, as I've already played plenty of the game, but I was looking forward to re-acquiring it.
Has anyone redeemed their free copy this way and actually gotten a copy?
After enjoying the first game quite a bit (couldn't go wrong for $8 on clearance at K-Mart), I was a little put-off by the demo. It might've been because there was so little structure that I had no idea where to start. Also, I had the same problem with shooting the gas canisters and not flying into the air. Anyways, I was just about to make the decision to save this game til the bargain bin when I came across two things: Joystiq's article about this game being only $45 at K-Mart, and Justin's review. Needless to say, a copy of the game is now sitting in my car, waiting for me to get home from work to start playing it.
