You can back it up by just signing into live. If you've been connected to live (and haven't made any achievement progress since then) then the copy stored on your console is just a local copy.
You can download a new copy from the MS servers just by deleting your local one (profile only) then resigning back in.
Family Game Night and Pinball FX2 are treated as hubs by XBL.
If you go to games marketplace tab on one of them it will have a tile called hubs that will take you to a section which has things like waypoint, rock band, games arcade, those two and some others.
