I love this game, but "Best Online Technology"? Really? Their chat server goes down all the time and it seems like 25% of the time I want to play I can't because the game server is down. What other games were they up against? They must be pretty bad.
I managed a Game Crazy for several years. They did good business. Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery however, did not. It's a shame that Game Crazy is getting dragged down with them. I wonder why they didn't sell it off first...
XIM360 is the only mouse/keyboard adapter that's worth a damn and that's because you have to run it through your PC. Every Xbox game has a different deadzone, deadzone shape, sensitivity, acceleration, xy ratio, etc. Without having some way to adjust all those variables it will never work right with every game. I'm betting this thing probably works pretty well with either MW1/2 or Halo, but almost definitely not both.
We all knew Assassin's Creed 2 was coming with this shitty DRM system before it was released. That's why I didn't buy it and that's why you shouldn't have bought it. Hopefully you won't purchase the next Ubisoft game that comes with it. Proceed with the down voting.
If any console is ever released with a mouse and keyboard, that will pretty much be the death of PC gaming. Ever since I got my XIM360, I've been picking up shooters for my 360 instead of my PC. I still play strategy games and mmo's on my pc though. Oh, and flight sims. I have a head tracker for my pc games that support it, so usually racing games I play on PC. Oh and web games. There is that mod thing too. That's pretty cool. I love my PC. I don't want PC gaming to die. =(
My xbox is hooked up to my monitor. I play at my desk. I guess I get to have an intimate experience with Alan Wake despite Microsoft trying to stop me. Our love is pure Alan! They'll never keep us apart!
My wife has worked for Game Crazy for 10 years. I worked for them for almost 6, but then quit to go back to school. She's much better at it than I was. The company truly does care about sales of mvps and preorders above all else. Can't get the numbers? Can't work there. The ones around here have always managed to stay staffed with passionate gamers, though. Tournaments and midnight launches abound. Fun place to work until it wasn't. Anyway, the point of this post was that they will keep you if they value you. Making them value you is the tricky part I guess.
When I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon I took my Gamecube with me. Zelda: Windwaker had come out the day before we left and I just couldn't go without at least trying it out. During the two weeks we were there I would always make sure to wake up two hours before she did so I could get some Zelda time in. Of course, now I can't play Windwaker without associating it with... honey moon type activities...
