To be honest, this could all have been DLC for Soul Calibur IV.

@Jimmyjames : Which is not necessarily a bad thing . AVP was a pretty awesome game for what it was worth. A little too short, but it satisfied the fix. I hear what you are saying though. Seems more like a port of AVP than anything else. I'm still gonna play the bejabbers out of it cause I'm a fan of the movie.

Also, I think the Wii U version will probably have a cooler experience with the controller and all.

While I would never advocate s company rushing a product to the shelves, if Sony could have released Vita sooner rather than later it would have been a blow to the 3DS. Now, by the time the Vita comes out the 3DS will have had from the 12th of this month through the holiday season and beyond to run the 3DS salvage operation. That's more than enough time for the 3Ds to get back on it's feet. I think Sony just handed Nintendo a mulligan.

Still don't see how this game is gonna work. Hopefully Namco will surprise us.

@Johnnynumber5 is powered by cell : Okay. The install base PS3 is 50 million units. The install base for the Wii U is 86 million units. Lets say that everyone whom has a Wii buys a Wii U, and everyone whom has a PS3 buys a Vita. In order to even break even with the Nintendo install base audience Sony has to convince enough people whom do NOT already own a PS3 already to buy 36 million units of the PS3/Vita combo which would be at least 650-700 dollars. Add to that the extra money current PS3 owners would have to pay. Where as Nintendo only has to convince people whom already own a Wii to spend 350-400 on the Wii U.

There is not one logical debate that you can use to say that the PS3/Vita combo is a better financial alternative than buying a Wii U. You can have whatever opinion you wish on the success you think one system will have or another, but that facts can't be changed my biased opinions or cop-out fanboy flames that are used in exchange for facts.

@eat it : I don't see why not. Third-party support is not a concern for a casual gamer. Nintendo already has twice the amount of third-party support for the Wii U as it did the Wii and the system is still a year away.

You can't always project what will happen in the future based on what happened in the past. Two examples. The PS2 is the biggest selling console of all time at 150 million units sold. However the PS3 at 50 million units hasn't sold half as many units as the PS2 did. Likewise, the Gamecube sold a abysmal 21 million units where as the Wii has sold four-times that amount with 86 million units and counting.

Instead of making predictions people should just sit back and enjoy the show.
