Unless some new independent developers break the mold with some innovative software I cant imagine third parties doing much different then they did with the cube to be honest. I of course will eat my hat when I see a 'new' final fantasy or GTA exclusive for the Wii, but until then its Sponge Bob, er yeah so is it any different back then (cube) to now?. I would love to be proven wrong as Nintendo have a great machine on its hands.
I think the Nintendo fanboy rantings and Sony fanboy rantings mildly amusing, as Nintendo are aiming Wii at a entirely new (be it DS owners) core base of consumers, leaving the other makers of consoles left only for the spotty teenagers.
Quite frankly I think Nintendo's direction is a class act, and in a business sense rather a risky one, but one only has to look at the success of the DS with games like Nintendogs to understand that Nintendo is doing something it should have done long ago, and that is shaking off it’s image as kiddy console, and making it’s competitors look like their systems are for kids, which to be honest with you they are…
