The refurbished one cost $1499, 100 dollars less than a brand new one (that is if your using an education discount). Pretty lame. I'm holding out for the isight integrated ones (I hope) and the resolution independent ACDs.

Nintendo did own RARE. Not all of it, but a large percentage of it. The gained about 300 million from Microsoft for RARE.
