I fell asleep on one of my arms once and lost all feeling. I rolled over onto my back and brushed my other hand over the "dead" arm not feeling a thing, opened my eyes, felt it again and had a heart attack because I thought there was just this arm in my bed!
Being a loyal SC fan since the first game, I find this a classic misuse of modern social media.
Here's what would have worked:
Why not have Sam Fisher tweet about things that lead up to the start of the game? Like, "I'm reading a book in a hammock and can't stop thinking about my daughter's death" or something more "Twitter" like. Show the human side of Sam and not some drunken philosophy that totally disconnects you from this "revolutionary turn in the series"
I don't think they'll go that far. I doubt pissing off their customers will really work in their favour.
I agree that this is a great incentive to buy games new because if you think about it, that'll bring the cost of used games down even more as a "counter" incentive to buy used games.
It all comes down to this: If you really like/love the game, you'll be buying it new on day one or shortly after. If it's a game you don't mind picking up used then you probably don't really care about the DLC. If you do care, it'll be available to buy anyways which will bring the cost back up on par or close to what you'd pay for it brand new.
In the end, this helps developers bring in some more revenue for their hard work to entertain us, so I'm all for it.
Seeing as TLAD came out Feb 17th last year, a one year exclusivity deal would mean that it would launch after Feb 17th this year. And since MS paid for both episodes upfront, both can come out together.
Now the only thing remaining is the announcement of the next GTA (London, called it!) in March as well. My guess would be early March so that the hype helps sell the DLC.
By no means am I a "Battlefield fanboy" the last BF I played was BF2 and I still do from time to time.
I am however a "Good Game Fanboy" so forgive me if I feel less than satisfied for dishing out $70 for a game that usually frustrates the shit out of me. The title could be "Mario Slingshot" for all I care. As long as the game is fun and balanced and not filled with people running around laying one-shot kills on everyone on the map, I'm all for it.
The one thing I DO like about MW2 is the single player. It's Awesome! I love the multiple perspectives you play through which allows for a more interesting story to take place. That, IW nailed on the head.
