Negotiation with extreme prejudice in Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops DLC
Mar 12th 2012 7:03PM (Joystiq)Well, I as part of the community welcome you!
Also, you've gotten my respect already, but as it's coming from me, it's basically worthless. It's kind of like a bad and rotten fish. It tastes horrible, smells absolutely dreadful, and is not in anyway useful for slapping people, and I kind of lost this metaphor from the start.
But I digress. So, welcome to the community and don't let someone such as that user taint your opinion of the majority of posters!
Negotiation with extreme prejudice in Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops DLC
Mar 12th 2012 5:03PM (Joystiq)Even though intended as a joke, the way that it was written still showed an inordinate amount of arrogance. Also, I was somewhat swayed in that direction by your previous post in this article.
Negotiation with extreme prejudice in Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops DLC
Mar 12th 2012 3:49PM (Joystiq)Even though the Call Of Duty series are not my type of game, saying outright that you could make a better game than they could ON YOUR OWN already tells me that your post is complete bull. Even if some things are copy pasted, some people put up with it BECAUSE IT WORKS (or because they honestly could care less).
Also, topping them with Java while you are still an amateur programmer?
You making a game which you claim can drive the crowds that hold Call of Duty at the highest eschalance of games is already an outrageous claim, but doing it with Java, which I find to be highly inefficient for large scale games, and the fact that you are just starting to learn it, really shows a lack of understanding on your part.
I would have accepted you saying something which indicated that you simply didn't like the game, but the fact that you believe that you can make a game better by yourself than the teams which worked on this game, perhaps passionately, coded in java simply shows how arrogant you really are. And before you say it, don't even try to bring minecraft into this because even though it was coded in Java, it was by a competent team of people working together, and not an single amateur claiming that they could make a game better than 3 whole teams, and I also have to mention that while Minecraft is a fun game if you can think of stuff to build, it is somewhat inefficient and eats up a ton of memory and cause slowdowns with some stuff if you really start working with redstone, people don't mind, because of the fact that it's good.
I doubt that you truly make a game better than Call of Duty being an amateur at Java, hell, I doubt you can even make a good one.
On a side note, this is a gaming site, and they have an obligation to post gaming news. This certainly is a type of gaming news, whether you like it or not. So deal with it or stop checking this site. Obviously no-one else has a problem with them reporting things that other people might have an interest in.
