Germany becomes top games market in Europe [update: not true!]

Aug 16th 2009 3:31PM (Joystiq)
My Gears of War copy was produced and printed in Germany for distribution in the Middle East, it even has the description in the back in Arabic. Does the data exclude offshore sales like this example?

StarCraft II: Blizzard responds to lack of LAN support

Jun 30th 2009 9:47AM (Joystiq)
If I was a joystiq editor, I would get ready with a photoshop picture of pirates commandeering Blizzard, you know they will need it when those pirates get LAN/BattleNet circumventing patch/app.

LAN support not included in StarCraft II

Jun 30th 2009 4:11AM (Joystiq)
I seen it too many times before, rookies try to play tough and corner the pirates down. They end up beaten on a dark alley with a condom sticking out of their ear and an arm full of dirty needles.

It might take some time, but there will be someone who will develop a workaround for this and enable an environment that will allow people to circumvent the BattleNet. I seen this happen before where me and my friends actually had to download a crack/patch to play on LAN for our legitimate copy.

PTR Notes: Cheat Death insanely buffed, mobs' fear nerfed

I scream bloody murder! this seems too imba. Rogues have to watch their agrro if they are to squishy.. and they have decent talents to dump it.

Should there be Tanks in World of Warcraft?

Oct 23rd 2007 9:07AM (WoW)
Warriors been fine for a while now after protection damage buff.. especially protection warriors. But as it is the deal with every spec the warrior goes.. you need to have the right gear for it.

I am glad in 2.3 healers got their gear bonus adjusted to provide spelldamage. I think this helps with solo aspect of raiding spot specs. Tanking is a great aspect of this game and provides a challenge to guilds that its now common to just look at the main tank of said guild and assess their progress. And believe me.. you have to be there when people used to raid UBRS.. tanking was the most fun task of going there.. don't take tanking away.. I love getting my face smashed and still pissing off mobs.

Who am I this time?

Oct 23rd 2007 7:27AM (WoW)
I know where this is coming from, I personally have 2 70s one which is my main a frost mage which I raid alot on her. Unfortunatly my 5 man heroic team already has our raid group MT as a tank so I cant bring my warrior to tank that or help out in the raids. So right now I am stuck with him as a farm tool to mine and farm primals. Now I am just at loss of what to do with that warrior and find myself torn apart between the two.

Breakfast Topic: Extreme talents

Oct 23rd 2007 6:24AM (WoW)
Being a frosty I tried going for 0/0/61.. it was decent and I honestly love all the frost tree talents. However 2/0/59 seemed to give me more damage output so I stuck with that. I love being frost that I decided to create another mage if I had the urge to play a fire mage.. he is 55 now.

Bungie's Joseph Staten to pen next Halo novel: Contact Harvest

May 12th 2007 7:40AM (Joystiq)
@12

That part of the graphic novel book is drawn by Tsutomo Nihei. Bungie took the right path by giving him a chance to be in the book. But I wish they left him do it in his own style. He doesn't draw dialog in his comics, but what makes him special is his architect background that manifest its self in his stories. For a comic without dialog he is "really" good at drawing action sequences. His most famous work is Blame.
