My main issue was with the battle scenery (or lack thereof) and the lackluster animations. The Nintendo DS is capable of Nintendo 64 quality graphics so I just don't see why they can't to fully fleshed out battle Pokemon Stadium style just like they did over 10 years ago. The lack of evolution in the series got stale all the way back on the GBA games in the series although I still love me some Pokemon sometimes, but the power and assets are at their disposal. Why not use them? I can see a combo system as a major upgrade in the battle or employ timed button press system to dodge or do all of the, thus far, automated random events in battle instead of it all being on autopilot. Keep me more engaged in the game instead of just impatiently staring at the screen reading how to the battle is unfolding and impatiently tapping the A button. Just some ideas because I would love for Pokemon to get a new life and give us Pokemon fans a breath of fresh air.
I played the hell out of Zombies Ate My Neighbors when I was a kid and it is well worth a second look after all of these years. I played a little bit of it's sequel, Ghoul Patrol, but while the graphics are alot nice, it just doesn't do the original game justice in my opinion.
I find Mario's glowing red devilish gaze to be very unsettling. Let's hope the Mario jack-o-lantern doesn't spring to life and feed on the blood of trick or treaters.
I have Peggle Nights on the PC and it is disproportionately shorter than the other versions of Peggle that I have played. It is still a good game because of the trippier level designs though.
Once again I successfully posted a comment on Joystiq that was such perfect bait for trolls without even trying. Just because the internet is anonymous (for the most part) DOES NOT give somebody a good enough reason to just start talking shit. If somebody heard me say the same exact statement on the streets I highly doubt they would have the cojones to respond in such a way. Do people with have no life have anything better to do than go around trolling on the net to artificially boost their insufficient self-esteem? The answer is yes! Get a life outside the net and engage in useful activities that actually benefit society instead of stirring the pot inside of your "world" that you created just to compensate for having no life at all in the real world.
I bet it probably stunk of some serious BO in that place. I personally have never been in a crowd that large without the lingering smell of pot smoke filling the air.
If nobody buys this game so I can get me an updated Day of the Tentacle I am afraid that I might go postal. No, not really. But I will have some very angry thoughts.
