In my town centre, there are (and I'm not exaggerating) 2 different GAMEs and a Gamestation within 5 minutes walking distance of each other, all with exactly the same prices. Will never understand why they overexpanded so much, when the market is clearly moving towards more digital and online sales.
@ColorblindMonk Indeed, the Halo 3 and Reach betas brought to their attention a lot of bugs and balancing issues. Let's hope they get this right first time. I'm still apprehensive over the texture popping and geometry missteps in Halo Anniversary, but am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I admire the guy for making some bold steps, but hopefully a new Lead Designer at Lionhead will really give them the creative boost they desperately need to keep Fable fresh, and get some good new IPs out there.
Pleasantly surprised by how well this game handled and how fun it was to link tricks up or do an insane 4000 degree spin with "It's Tricky" thumping in the background. I bet with RiderNet (*cough* Autolog), it would be even more awesome. This wasn't on my radar at all, but is now edging pre-order territory for me.
@A Sandwich Do you really think a game series which has involved shooting zombie dogs, killing a little mutant Spanish man and collecting a million cranks gives two hoots about realism?
Given that Gears and Dead Space felt a lot better to play than Resident Evil 5, then I honestly don't care about whether moving and shooting is realistic or not.
@Vocality On a PC, in a console it's a whole different ballgame. The current Xbox 360 has a card similar to the X1900 but try running current games as well as the Xbox 360 on that card.
@DoctorFrank Just because it's derived from it doesn't mean it's going to be exactly that graphics card. Also the current Xbox is based on a 2005 graphics card, but I don't see any PCs from 2005 that cost $300 new and still run today's games.
Still the graphics card isn't really the weak link in the current machines. It's the tiny 512 MB RAM.
