I wouldn't be surprised if instead of announcing a next-gen console, they did another Xbox 360 revision. An even smaller, less power hungry revision with no "Core" model to really push the media aspect and help developers push games that may need installs (Forza 3 and 4 for instance). Maybe:
$229 - Xbox 360 (320 GB) $299 - Xbox 360 (320 GB) + Kinect
I know I'd be looking at buying yet another Xbox if they did something like that.
Criterion's custom Chameleon engine for "Hot Pursuit" looked much nicer and felt better than the Frostbite 2 engine in "The Run" IMO. The Run had some weird flickering issues (on X360 anyway) and there's a lot of obvious low-res textures and pop-in, whereas Hot Pursuit didn't have a problem with any of those things.
Would probably prefer a new Burnout for the Criterion guys rather than an NFS (seeing as this is likely to be their last big game for this generation), but whatever it is, it's bound to be great fun.
The Mr. Scratch storyline is a genius direction to take until the full sequel (although it was only touched upon in the game, the book in the limited edition goes into a fair amount of depth).
As long as: a) You can play from a range of about 4 feet away from the sensor. b) Enough titles support it. Then I'll be happy to get one for the next-gen Xbox to use in addition to a regular controller.
