I once owned an ipod mini. At one point I dropped the thing ( three feet onto a carpeted floor I might add ). After the currently playing song finished, I got that wonderful ipod frowny face. After dismantling the thing and shaking the microdrive a little bit, I knew the head shattered the platter.
Thats why for some people spending 200 dollars on something with only 4-8 gigs makes sense. I mean you may not drop your electronics a whole lot, but one time is all it takes for you to waste 250 dollars.
Needless to say the odds of me owning any sort of hard drive based player ever again are slim to none.
Just for the record I've been playing FPS games for at least 12 years. I'm 23 now, and I just recently went to a shooting range.
I shared two boxes of ammo with my cousins.
I must have hit the target probably four times. And none were on the bullseye. Only one was anywhere near the circles, most were where a good ways off where the circle ended, and a lot didnt even hit the paper the target was printed on.
The moral of the story is that video games dont teach you jack about operating a fire arm.
10. What a complete idiot. Hope more nintendo fans off themselves for 6 year old tech.

I hate to break it to you but for once, something had happened isnt about your precious next gen console. Someone died about this. Is that so hard to understand?
People like you disgust me. Your parents are borderline criminals for raising such a callous, insensitive human being ( if it could even be called that ). Instead of taking holding your foul tongue at a sad situation you have to go and take this opportunity to go and be a fan boy. Well congradulations, I hope you're proud of yourself. You made the Wii look bad at the cost of belittling someones death. You're awesome now.
do you have any respect for anything? People are out there profiting off the death of US citizens and all you can say is 'dont buy their product'?
I dont know where you're from but as an American its pretty much my patriotic duty to be at least a little pissed off if not completely morally outraged that someone thinks that they can generate some ad campaign off the death of my country men.
no offense engadget crew but posting black friday deals at 121 pm just doesnt cut it these days. I was driving by bestbuy thanksgiving day to check out my odds and at 3 pm there was already 20 + people lined up outside. To me that means that a useful blackfriday post is 2 days before the event at least. about half the stuff listed is in store only, and the other half starts online at 5 am and is already sold out.
Mushroom hunter? did this remind anyone else of mario for a second?
okay I'm a nerd get over it.
Anyways so this guy goes mushroom hunting at night without a flashlight but with an ipod? sounds to me like it wasnt the ipod that saved his life but his own stupidity that got him in trouble.
