Good grief, people are complaining about this? Most other companies would have told fans deal with it and move on. It's a free DLC so if you're happy with the original ending then don't download it.
Stop bitching people. It's free!! No room to complain here.
Really excited for this. I missed out on the whole Baldur's Gate era because I was dumping so much of my PC gaming time into Starcraft online. lol I sure miss the days when PC was king, and games were so long with lots of depth.
Perhaps all this ending talk has soured my perceptions, but I'm on a few hours into the game, and I'm just not getting hooked on the game or the story unlike other ME games. Most of the NPCS don't talk back to me, and the citadel seems even more smaller!
And either this game did not come with a manual or mine fell out of the case. No manual, just a few lousy inserts, and I can't figure out these new elements like War Assets. Upgrading weapons and powers is more confusing. Why couldn't they just stick with the ME2 design? It was perfectly fine in that game.
Am I the only one who cares more about the game's journey rather than the ending? I guess it stems from my NES days where endings really sucked or you might just get The END. Yet, I've played plenty of games this generation and had tons of fun even though the ending was horrible. Bioshock and Crysis are examples.
The fact is that people have bitched about this entire series. Complaints in ME1 about the combat. They fixed the combat in ME2, but people complained about the Terminator boss as cheesy. You just can't please everyone.
I just want to know how you guys find the time to beat the game so freaking fast. It's like 20-30 hours and so many ppl have it completed in under a week? Geez.
I've had to gloss over the posts because I don't want the ending spoiled, but it's a major disappointment to hear that my decisions have no effect on the ending. Does that kill the replay value?
The biggest draw of ME for me has been the dialogue decisions and how the game plays out differently based on your choices. I get a kick out of being an asshole Shepard to everyone. lol
This review made it sound like your decision choices in ME2 and 1 have little impact on ME3. Is this true? Major disappointment for me if so.
