The Daily Grind: Is there a game you would prefer not to beta test?

Aug 14th 2011 9:06AM (Massively)
I don't want to beta test games anymore. Most of the ones I've tested, the beta feedback (not just mine, but in general)) has had little to absolutely no effect on the released game, and the game has been significantly poorer for it.

I'm no longer interested in playing games that haven't been out for a significant amount of time. And I'm not interested in playing a game and suddenly hitting something that makes me go "Man. Still? This was broken in beta, it's still broken now?"

There is no reason whatsoever to take content out of a game. Just make it worth doing again.

Guild Wars 2 Sylvari Week begins

Aug 8th 2011 3:52PM (Massively)
So I love this quote:
"The sylvari are not limited by the planes of a human skull; you can shape the jaw with layered vines, or create the illusion of a face by pressing shards of bark together vertically, and splitting the face in two. The brow can simply be a collection of leaves and it is the patterning alone that defines the eyebrow shape, much like the camouflage of a butterfly."

But it makes me wish that any of the pictures showed this actually happening. They just look like "here's a plant... and we slapped a human face on it. Good to go!"

The Daily Grind: Are MMO players angrier than other types of gamers?

They're not angrier, they're just whinier.
